Producer Awards

Entries close Monday 30 March 2026.

The Producer Awards are open to all Food & Drink producers based in Devon. All entries will be confirmed by email and an invoice issued if applicable.

Entry Fee

  • Food Drink Devon Members – Entry is free for 2 products per company. Then £60+VAT per additional product.
  • Non-Members – Entry is £80+VAT per product (if you sign up for Food Drink Devon membership before 30 March 2026, any awards entry fees will be deducted from your first year’s membership costs).

All producers submitting an entry agree to sending samples of their entered products to us in April to June (delivery details will be sent nearer the time). If you are entering beer or cider and would like it judged as a draught you will need to let us know several Devon establishments where it is served and it will be judged at one of those venues, and instead of sending us samples you will need to transfer funds to us to cover the cost of 4 judges buying a pint.

Judging

Individual products will be blind tasted by an independent and unbiased expert judging panel with an independent adjudicator verifying the results. Several judges will make up each judging panel, all of whom are experts in the field of food and drink judging. They will consider each product at length and take part in a thorough panel debate without knowing the brand or product names for an impartial assessment and considered feedback.

Products will be judged in 6 areas:

  • Appearance
  • Aroma
  • Texture
  • Taste
  • Description
  • Devon Ingredients / Suppliers used
