The NoBody Inn is a characterful country pub and restaurant set in the rural village of Doddiscombsleigh, between the Haldon Hills and the Teign Valley, about six miles south‑west of Exeter. Housed in a building with origins in the 10th century and used as a tavern since the 17th century, the inn combines centuries of history with the comforts of modern country hospitality, offering low ceilings, blackened beams, inglenook fireplaces and a timeless, unspoilt atmosphere.
Food at The NoBody Inn is rooted in Devon’s larder. Our kitchen cooks from scratch using the best local ingredients, with menus that change regularly according to the seasons and the availability of fresh, local produce. Guests can expect hearty British dishes and comforting pub classics, including specialities such as locally sourced beef and a game, as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten‑free options. A traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings showcases our commitment to relaxed, generous country dining.
Our drinks offering is equally distinctive. The NoBody Inn is renowned for its extraordinary cellar, featuring carefully curated wines and an extensive selection of whiskies, from everyday favourites to rare and specialist bottles. We champion West Country ales and ciders alongside this collection, including regular beers from Dartmoor, Otter and Exeter breweries, so that guests can enjoy the full breadth of the region’s drinks culture.
With five comfortable, character‑filled bedrooms, The NoBody Inn also offers a peaceful place to stay for those exploring Devon’s countryside, coast and nearby Dartmoor. Whether it is a romantic dinner, a family celebration, a countryside break or simply a perfectly poured pint by the fire, we aim to provide a warm welcome, a strong sense of place and a memorable taste of Devon at every visit.
