Huxbear Vineyard is a family business producing hand crafted wines in Devon. Planted in 2007, the vineyard is situated on 14 acres of south east and south west facing slopes.

A range of wines are produced on site each year and are made exclusively from estate grown grapes. Current wines are:

Classic Sparkling 2018 - Huxbear Classic Sparkling is produced from a blend of the classic three sparkling varieties. The 2018 vintage is made from 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot and 10% Pinot Meunier.

Pinot Noir Rosé Sparkling 2020 - This traditionally produced sparkling rosé is a pale salmon pink with an abundance of fine bubbles. A well-balanced, delicate and dry rosé with complex notes of peach and red berries.

Artio Bacchus 2021 - Dry and refreshing, this wine is made exclusively from our Bacchus grapes. It has aromas of melon, pineapple and grapefuit and has a gooseberry finish. Best served with seafood, or on its own.

Arcas Pinot Noir 2021 - Smooth and refined, this unfiltered red wine is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown here at Huxbear. It has aromas of blackberries, violets and liquorice, with a medium bodied and expressive palate.

The Dancing Bear 2020 - Pale gold in colour, this barrel aged wine is made from 100% Chardonnay. Smooth and balanced, with notes of peach, honeydew melon, pineapple, cinnamon, butter and coconut. Best served lightly chilled with fish or chicken.

Orange Bear 2021 - Well balanced with a rounded mouthfeel, this skin fermented, wild ferment wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. It has aromas of peach, stone fruit and vanilla, with a well developed palate. Best served with nuts, olives, cheese or charcuterie.

All of our wines are suitable for vegans.

We are open by appointment for vineyard tours and wine sales, come and meet us to see what we do! To arrange a visit, please contact us.

We offer a walking tour of the vineyard and winery for £12.50 a head - under 16s (when accompanied by an adult) are free. Minimum charges may apply if you are a small group (less than 5 adults), but we will endeavour to combine smaller groups. The tour takes approximately 90 minutes followed by a free tasting. Tour attendees also receive exclusive discounts on any wine purchases on the day. We accept cash and credit cards. Well behaved dogs are very welcome!
